Adult Career/Technical Training - Short Term Training

These programs offer students an opportunity to update or learn new skills in a variety of career and technical programs, including providing entry level information and skill development in several occupational areas. Certificates of Completion are offered in several program areas that provide essential training related not only to basic knowledge levels in those program areas, but prepare students for required state or other licensure or certification. Some of these programs include:

  • ARC Welding
  • Auto Body Repair
  • CDA – Child Development Training
  • Machine Trades
  • Medical Office Assistant
  • Nursing Assistant
  • Phlebotomy

A graduation program is held each June for all Diploma, GED Certificate and Career/Technical program area Certificate of Completion recipients.

Adult Education students may also participate in Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center daytime Career/Technical programs with high school juniors and seniors when availability permits. These programs are offered at two (2) different time segments and meet Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 10:40 a.m. or 12:00 - 2:40 p.m. and may be free to persons meeting eligibility requirements. Students not meeting eligibility requirements will be charged full tuition.
